Hi all,

I received my first iphone some days ago... and was very disappointed when I found that I can't browse the forum with it.

Anyway... I feel many companies are going to buy Ipads to work - so we're planning to adapt some parts of our applications specifically for these tools. I had already chosen ExtJS to integrate with QCodo for the UI part (we're working on their really cool Grid component right now), and was delighted to see that they've changed their name to Sencha, and that they've recently released a very nice “Sencha Touch” product - to develop nice Iphone, Ipad and Android web applications. So this reinforces our choice.

In my opinion, QCodo is still the nicest code-generator and class-generator I've ever dreamt of - but the UI is now aging, and keeping in touch with all new browsers, devices and html5, css... is perhaps too much for the small team working on it.

I know that QCodo's objectives are not exactly the same as ExtJS, and here I'm not asking for including Sencha in QCodo (nor feeding the trolls about JQuery). But if anybody is interrested, we'll post all we can here - and gratefully accept any advice about “how to plug it with QCodo”, or creating it as a module...

Hi Fred,

I'm also using Ext JS together with Qcodo, I think both technologies work quite well together but I don't think too much effort should be spent changing the way Qcodo works. For as far as I can tell it works fine, so no need to change it.

Ext JS for me is a great UI layer Qcodo has a nice ORM mapper (and other steff) so it might be a nice idea to see if we can make them work better together.

The code that I've written so far doesn't really offer anything to the general public for as far as I can tell.

Things which might be nice and general: an Ext Direct implementation which works with Qcodo.

A way of directly making a Qcodo object / resultset JSON serializable as input for Ext JS.

Things like that would be great, I do hope there is someone who will find this an itch they want to scratch.

That sounds exciting... just a quick heads up -- make sure you're using at least qcodo 0.4.13, since there was a fix to help with better iphone/ipad webkit-based textbox handling.
