Hi,

We are at a crossing-point of either going to the upgrade of Qcodo .4 or QCubed 1.1+.  It's quite a different version is my understanding.

I tried to search for differences, but alot has changed on both sides.

I've been liking the responsiveness of Qcodo forum lately (particulary Mike) so am leaning towards Qcodo .4 upgrade.

One of the things QCubed has is Autocomplete, which I really need rather than using our current hack.  How is this in qcodo?

Yes, autocomplete is definitely something that I'd like to see in core, but there is no ETA as of yet.

If you check out the old uploads section, someone had submitted an autocomplete textbox which was based on a jquery implementation.  Not sure if/how it works, but it might be worth checking out.

The autocomplete QCubed has is based upon (but updated from) that same plugin. There is also talk of switching to the newer jQuery autocomplete control in UI 1.8, which should be even cleaner.

Honestly though, most, if not all QControls should be very easy to port between QCubed and QCodo.

How do we do the port?  Is that something being undertaken perhaps to benefit from the qcubed community to update qcodo?

The QCubed community in general uses the QCubed framework, so I don't expect anyone from QCubed to be putting effort into updating QCodo. So that leaves it up to the QCodo users out there to take anything they like from QCubed and incorporate it into QCodo, which we would certainly encourage.
