These are actually for qcodo.com. Kind of a wish list of things that would really help me out, so maybe they might help one or two others as well. :-)

1) I LOVE being able to get emails when my selected threads are posted to. Major time saver. One thing that might be helpful is to have the entire thread history in the email, rather than just the most recent post? A lot of times I click on the links in the emails just to get the context to understand the current post. Just like having the previous emails quoted at the bottom of email replies.

2) To extend the email thread feature, I would love to be able signup to receive an email every time a new thread is started. Specifically for the development blog, but I would probably end up doing it for a couple of the others as well.

3) When I'm in the discussion forums, the image in the top header for 'DISCUSSION FORUMS' is no longer a clickable link. Often, I'd like to just one-click back to the main forums page, rather than click back two pages from a post.

So ... it would be great if you could just put Beta 3 on hold while you tend to these absolutely crucial features. :)

Thanks

It would also be great if QCodo Forum RSS supported threaded discussions. Advanced RSS readers (such as a free SharpReader) allow threaded discussions.

Interesting... Qcodo is using RSS 2, and I couldn't find any information on the RSS 2 site (at <http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/tech/rss>) that talks about formatting, specifically, for threaded discussions.

Could you point to some resources for this?

Hunter - thanks for the feedback - we'll definitely get it up and out... after Beta 3. ;^)

Mike, I wish I knew more about RSS :) All I could dig up was that a few sites that I subscribe to using SharpReader (freeware, try it out) support threaded discussions: by using RSS2.0 comments (<wfw:commentRss>, I believe).

Couple places that support this:
- WordPress
- blogs.msdn.com

Sorry, can't give you more details than that :-(. I presume that making this work for QCodo would mean that a new RSS item should be generated for new topics only, while replies to old topics should be treated as comments.
