It's with a great deal of pleasure and pride that I can finally announce that the Qcodo Wiki site has gone live!
For the impatient, the site is available at <http://wiki.qcodo.com>.
The availability of a central wiki and documentation resource is a major community milestone. I sincerely hope it is the first of many. On behalf of Mike Ho and myself, I want to say thanks to everyone involved in Qcodo and Zcodo. The level of professionalism and respect in this community is to be admired.
Getting Involved
One of the most significant changes that this new wiki site has brought is the ability for other community members to be more directly involved in the creation of documentation for Qcodo. In discussing the changes that Mike Ho and I would like to see in the Qcodo community, one of the items at the top of the list is to provide opportunities for others to participate more directly.
Qcodo has given all of us a tremendous amount, and that is the reason we participate in the community. If everyone involved just gave back a little bit, our community will continue to blossom.
Task #1 - Updating Documentation
If you've taken a look at the state of the current wiki site, you will see many mentions of Zcodo and outdated information. Cleaning up the documentation is a task that I cannot do on my own, so I'm asking for volunteers for the following two roles:
Documentation Moderators - If you like to write documentation, edit documentation and would enjoy coordinating future Qcodo Documentation efforts, please apply for this position. I am looking for 2 to 3 people to help here.
Documentation Contributors & Editors - Don't feel comfortable writing a full article? Can you help search & replace Zcodo with Qcodo? Are you willing to help edit 1 wiki page a week? Then, this is the role for you! I am looking for 15 to 20 people to help with this position.
Task #2 - Wiki Graphic Design
Do you have Photoshop & CSS skills? Can you help make the Qcodo Wiki look nicer? We need your help! I'm looking for 1 or 2 people for this position.
Applying for a Task
Graphic Artist or CSS Cowboy - If you would like to volunteer and help with any of the Tasks above, please reply to this thread with what you are willing to help do and a place that you may be contacted.
Thanks!
