We are looking for a highly skilled MySQL Database Architect. The successful candidate will be
responsible for maintaining, designing and improving our database structure and will be working
in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, fun and entrepreneurial environment.
Responsibilities Include
??Work directly with the development team to ensure optimal query and table design.
??Plan and implement improvements to our existing database schema.
??Provide support to the technology department regarding database troubleshooting.
??Analyzing and tuning our Database system.
??Ensure 24/7 availability of our database system.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
??Expert in high performance SQL, especially as it pertains to MySQL's language subset.
??Strong understanding of MySQL hardware level interactions
??Expert in database design especially as it pertains to performance on a high traffic
database.
??Proficiency in replication/clustering technologies
??Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education and Experience Required
??BS Degree in computer science or similar field
??5-7+ years IT experience
??Current experience as a DBA (2+ years)
??2+ years experience programming, maintaining and tuning MySQL in a high transaction
clustered or replicated environment.
??MySQL certification a plus
