We're looking for a HIGHLY experience senior web developer to take charge of a top web destination. Our site is the #1 online chess site and gets millions of monthly visits and hundreds of millions of monthly pageviews, and you will be in charge of keeping them happy :)
Your role will be to handle the full development of our site: from php (using the OOP qcodo framework) coding, to mysql tuning, to javascript enhancing, to memcached tweaking, to user experience testing... you need to be a well-rounded, top talent in web development. Our users will ask for features, and you will need to spec them, design them, build them, test them, and push them out.
Money is not a problem - we will pay up for the best.
Some projects you will be handling:
- facebook integration
- internationalization (i8n)
- feature development
- API development to support our mobile apps
- improving user experience flow (to make things more intuitive)
- A/B testing of funnels
You must:
- be able to communicate very well in English
- be online during some US hours
- have a LOT of really good references and portfolio sites
- enjoy what you do
- be willing to learn a LOT
- experience with chess is a big plus
